Note:  A secondary student who passes his GCE O-Level examination may enter a junior college or one of several centralised institutes that prepare students for the GCE A-Level examination and eventual entry into a national university. When entering a junior college or centralised institute students must choose from among three academic streams:  art, science, and commerce.
