Number of users by level of educational attainment 2000 - 2002 (Line Graph)
Note 1: The size of the multi-shaped data points reflects the proportion with which each group is represented as a proportion of itself in the population at large. See graph 82c below.
Note 2: According to the original source the period in which the data was collected varies somewhat from year to year.
Note 3: These data are the results of a survey conducted by the Hong Kong government's Census and Statistics Department and are thus subject to sampling error.
Note 4: Personal computers refers to a computer designed for individual use. Personal computers includes desktop computer, laptop/notebook computer and Personal Digital Assistant. Servers, workstations and terminals of mainframe or minicomputer are not included. Personal computers may be connected to form a Local Area Network (LAN) or Wide Area Network (WAN).
Note 5: As students age 10 and over are included in the study, a large number of them classified as having attained a particular level of education have not yet completed it.

Users by level of educational attainment as a proportion of own group - 2003 (Bar chart)
Note 1: The data for the first three columns of this graph were obtained by dividing the number of personal computer users with the same level of educational attainment by the number of people in the population at large with the same attained level of education.
Note 2: The category Overall represents the percent fraction of all Hong Kongers who reported use of a personal computer during the twelve-month period prior to the time in which the data was collected -- in this case 2003.
